Walk in the Park
1996, Oldenburg, mare, by Landwerder out of Palatina I.
Owner/rider: Tara Cornelius
Trainers: Rainbow Canyon Ranch - Mary Gatti, Kim Tasker, Patrick Spanton
Walk in the Park "Kylie" is by the Oldenburg premium stallion Landwerder (1990). He finished his
stallion performance test with more than 120 points in jumping and above average scores for
rideability.  He had his show debut in Germany with his breeder
Gerd Sosath.  The same year he was
sold to Phillip Hartman, Los Angeles, CA, who put him in training with Grand Prix rider Rob Gage (1985
Rider of the Year).  In 1995 they were second in the
International Jumper Futurity.  From there Kamila
duPont
took over the training and showed him successfully in dressage.  The stallion then went east to
train with the multiple Olympic veteran and American dressage hero,
Robert Dover.  There he learned,
based on the solid training Kamila had given him, all the Grand Prix movements in a very short time.
Silver Lining is the oldest brother of three Oldenburg champion stallions.
Landor S was the German
National Champion of all 6-year old jumpers and does the Grand Prix jumper classes now successfully.
Lagoheidor was the Champion stallion during the Oldenburg approvals, won the stallion performance
test and is now on his way to becoming an outstanding dressage horse in the Netherlands.

Mare Studbook 33-09566-89, was
bred by
Glenwood Farms
Hannoverians in Wilton, CA. She was
purchased from their sale by Tom
Murray. Tom showed her successfully
in the jumpers and was in the top 10 at
the International Jumper Futurity. She
was then shown in the hunters and
equitation by Alice Luck.  John French
then bought her for Cathy Mendez
who showed her in the adult jumpers.
Currently she is showing with
Patrick
Dwyer Show Stables in northern
California by Amy Cocks. Palatina
also produced Silver Shadow, full
brother to "Kylie", and
Sempre Fi by
Starman.

Palatina's dam, Sun Blossom, show
name Dodi Li, was a bay
Thoroughbred bred in Walnut Creek,
CA. She was purchased as a 3 year
old by Joan Cinquini of Turlock, CA
who owned her until her death in 1994.
She was shown successfully in hunters,
jumpers, and dressage before
producing 9 foals. Joan has since
produced a fourth generation from her
line through her first filly, Galadriel by
Gran Glander, and through her Idol filly
Italica, a lovely chestnut mare.
